We have more than three hundred kinds of cherry trees across Japan.
They usually get in full bloom at the end of March or at the beginning of April in TOKYO region.
The bloom generally lasts one to two weeks, and many Japanese enjoy cherry-blossom
viewing every year, i.e. strolling and/or having a party with family members,relatives, friends
and/or colleagues under them.
It is said that the nobles of the court started cherry blossom viewing early 9th century.
For us the bloom is a sign of the arrival of spring and so we anticipate it very much every year.
Although the bloom is very short, we love it very much.
Because cherry blossoms live a short life and fall elegantly just like Samurai did.
It is very beautiful and gorgeous to see petals falling, shower of cheery blossom.
Lastly, we can say that we see our lives in it, that is sense of resignation.
