The giant frontal gate,Torii
YASUKUNI Shrine was constructed in 1869 by the mandate of MEIJI emperor
for
enshrining those who perished in war for the nation. The number of the
enshrined is totaled
to 2.5 million to date.
The shrine also has a museum called YUSHUKAN, where many real things and
pictures
related to Japan's long history are on display with explanatory bulletin
boards.
This place is one of ideal places to get to know well Japan herself and
its history.
It is located just behind the Imperial Palace and 5 minute walk from KUDANSHITA
stations of HAZOMON, TOZAI and SHINJUKU municipal subway lines.
A real ZERO naval fighter, type 52 ,very famous of
the Second World War is on display at the front room
of the museum. Over 10 thousand units were produced.
YUSHUKAN ,museum, where many real things
and pictures concerning JAPAN's history on display
"NOH" theater for Japanese traditional dancing
drama, which is created in 14th century,
at the precincts.
